you have pores in your face. (like tiny holes which let your skin breath) when bacteria gets in these holes your body had to stop it. Teenagers have more because they sweat more and the bacteria can feed of the sweat. and also if you don't clean your face or remove dead skin it can block the pores.
ok so the bacteria tries getting into your body via the pores but your body isn't having none of that so it sends it's bouncers to the scene ( white blood cells) they kill the bacteria and die. and stay behind you the build up of pus to the dead cells and bacteria left inside the pore. the body then forms a seal over the pore. to stop anymore bacteria getting in.
then you think ';eww spot lets pop it'; and then you open up the pore again and even more bacteria gets in. plus any bacteria left behind trapped it then moved to another part of your face via the puss and then it can affect that part so it spreads.
that's basically what happens
remember not to pop and you wash your face and use facial wipes.
also for really clean skin dab you skin with some anti bacteria spray it works wonders. What is the scientific reason behind acne?
You get acne and pimples from clogged pores. There are these tiny holes in your skin which dirt, oil and dead skin can be trapped in. When they are trapped, it causes bacteria to grow and multiply, therefore causing swelling in the surrounding area. Also during puberty, you may tend to get more oily faces which means there is a more likely chance of getting a pimple or acne.
black-heads are little, tiny black dots inside of your pores. White-heads are basically a white bump on you face, they contain bacteria. Pimples are red bumps on your face, and acne is all of those
It is important to wash your face daily, put some toner and then moisturise it with cream.
The sebaceous glands lie just beneath the skin's surface. They produce an oil called sebum, the skin's natural moisturizer. These glands and the hair follicles within which they are found are called sebaceous follicles. These follicles open onto the skin through pores. At puberty, increased levels of androgens (male hormones) cause the glands to produce too much sebum. When excess sebum combines with dead, sticky skin cells, a hard plug, or comedo, forms that blocks the pore. Mild noninflammatory acne consists of the two types of comedones, whiteheads and blackheads.
Moderate and severe inflammatory types of acne result after the plugged follicle is invaded by Propioni-bacterium acnes, a bacteria that normally lives on the skin.
