this is a strange remedy, but it has always worked for me...mix equal parts (maybe a teaspoon full) of mouthwash, alcohol, %26amp; peroxide...
use this with a cotton ball as an astringent...just wash your face and go over it with this and then just let it set...avoid touching your face until this dries. after which, put a dot of toothpaste (anything other than the gel formula) on your problem spots...this should reduce redness and swelling. just leave these on until they dry...in a really hot, steamy shower, just gently rinse this all off. the steam will help unclog pores and it'll hydrate your face.

Lemons. If you rub a lemon wedge on your face it should help dry up the acne really quickly, then finish it with some lotion that is safe for the face.
