Why are acne cream commercials so unrealistic ?

I do not understand how, commercials like ';clean and clear,'; always have an actress who complains about their pimples. For Instance, there will be an actress talking to her friend and complain, ';Oh my gosh! I hate having pimples!'; But they're friggen skin is smooth like a baby's bottom. I mean honestly, if your going to promote an acne cream, atleast show the skin before, with their nasty pimples and **** like how real pimples and acne look like! For me that would actually make me believe that the product works. What do you think? Why are acne cream commercials so unrealistic ?
I think the same thing! It just makes you feel even more spotty. I'm sat there like ';if they're spotty then I must look like a monster!';. I agree, they should show REAL people. Most the stuff you buy off the shelves doesn't work anyway. I got given tablets from the doctors desgined to get rid of acne and they work wonders. They even have a book full of photos of before + after as well. If you're having problems with spots, your best bet is to go and see your GP.Why are acne cream commercials so unrealistic ?
ok I know they photoshop a lot of there skin, but you're using a bad example clean and clear works great. However, there actresses are just used to attract people who like those actresses and then after there attracted, they will buy the product. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but clean and clear does. But really poeple who want acne treatments should just see a dermatologist, who will either give them a good cream specifically made for them, or recommended a good treatment. (clean and clear is a cream that is recommended by dermatologists.)
Who would buy the product if some one with bad skin was in the commercials, sex and beauty sells not the average normal person.Look at proactive it is suppose to be the worst on the market and the actresses on there spend thousands to look the way they do but sucking in those teenage bucks makes them millions.
YES! I agree! Those were all actors/actresses. It is really difficult to believe them. They didn't even specify what kind of skin is suitable for certain type of skin. It is very hard to believe sometimes. I rather believe those reality tv programs like Chris who happens to talk about his product in ';Know The Cause';. Chris Gibson is truly amazing and he even got proof that it works!

There is one word that explains this: $ money. Those stars you see have make-up artists who do the work for them. They star on commercials because they're being paid big money to do this. They do make it look realistic, computers!! They think if they have celebrities, customers will pour in. Proactive has a lot of customers, because they advertised first with Jessica Simpson. Now skin-id is next because of Hayden. They are pretty smart for some people, but not for me! LOL I hope that helped!
HAHA. the models or actresses in these commercials probably don't even use the products. They are paid to endorse the products, probably on the fact that they have beautiful skin. so the fact is that your favorite actress on the commercial, probably never even had a zit her whole life.
That's advertising for you, they're trying to sell the image that if you use their product you will look like the model. Congrats, you're smart enough to see through their bull.
I AGREE! IT IS SO STUPID! It's like get real people with REAL problems! And the Kelly Clarkson commercial.... IT'S LIKE, YOU HAVE PLENTY OF MONEY TO DO SOMETHING TO FIX YOUR FACE GO DO IT AND LET REAL PEOPLE USE THE Product!
