I have been using clean and clear morning burst and was thinking of trying something different. I don't want anything exfoliating. What face wash or cleanser do you use? What would be a good choice for acne prone combination skin?
I've used the morning burst before too. Not bad stuff but I prefer the St. Ives (or at least I think it's that brand) aprocot scrub is fantastic! It cleans as well as gets rid of old rough skin. They have a medicated formula, but I find that too harsh for my skin. If you're having serious ache problems, consider looking at your diet. Often times it's the main problem with breakouts. Good luck finding something new that you like! What face wash or cleanser do you use? What would be a good choice for acne prone combination skin?

ive had acne for quite sometime. i finally got rid of it with acutane. i still have the scars, but their smoothed out an they dont look 2 bad anymore. I occassionally get pimples every once in awhile. ive pretty much tried everything since ive had acne for so long. i found a good wash for your face could be cetaphil, which you should be able to get anywhere, and i also found out that a product called Velocity, which is another facial clenser, works pretty well too.
Mary Kay is definitely the best cosmetics brand out there. i use their velocity facial cleanser and moisturizer. it's great for oily skin and acne, and it leaves your face smooth and soft. it might be a little more expensive than clean and clear, but it's your face, i think it's worth it.
Proactiv! if you dont wanna go that route, I also love neutragena's original glycerin soap.
nutragina black head scrub really helps acne!!!
Clean and clear works like magic, overnight! I am not lying. I just put it on at night and the next morning my acene is almost gone. (It says on the box that 100% of people notice clearer skin in just one day) Its a clear cream and it doesn't shine and give away that you are using it.
i use Oil Of Olay products since forever and they are the best at any age...check them out...i think you will be pleasantly surprised .
i use aveeno ultra-calming foaming cleanser... if you have sensitive skin or acne prone skin this is great (it reduces redness) i use the aveeno cleanser to take off my makeup, but after that i use the proactiv cleanser
I have difficult skin, and have tried all kinds of brands. The one I like the best is by Biore. You can find it at Walmart or Walgreens, it works very well for me, and it is very mild.
Most dermatologists recomment mild soap and water. Neutrogena or Dove soaps are very good.
For acne prone face never use any strong soaps, lotions , cosmotics etc. Just wash your face with a baby soap twice or thrice a day only. (Too much washing causes rupture to the tender skin) In India people use green gram flour ( finely grounded) with water and wash the face as this does not contain any chemicals and also contains vitamins which nourish the skin texture.
I like and use Dove personally. The Body Shop also sells a really great product for oily and blemish prone skin. They have a great selection of Tea tree products.
An excellent product is Shiseido's purifying cleansing foam.
It really cleans and does not mess up with your skin, overdrying it.
Neutrogena is tops.
Origins has great products. they're all oil free and they're boxes and bags are even made from recycled paper. it might be a little more expensive than what you've been using though.
i've been using their products for a couple months now and the results are amazing.
I would use a cleanser with a slight exfoliater. I would follow it with with a toner that's acne specific.
I recommend Mary Kay's Velocity Cleanser and Blemish Control Toner.
